It was definitely an #instagood week! Here’s a snapshot of what was going on.
I did some scouting with Connecticut-based interior designer Susan Glick. In her master bedroom was this fantastic mirrored chest, which started out as a painted floral bureau she bought a dozen years ago when her style was in a different phase. She had it repainted and added the mirrors—#instaupdate!
One night I helped Michael recreate an advertising image from the 1970s for a middle school film class. It was interesting to see how he set it up. Because we don’t own a gun Michael cut one out of cardboard. Because we don’t smoke, we chopped up a white pencil and wrapped the tip with brown paper. Turned out pretty smokin’.
Now to the big stuff. I was asked to help Merida Meridian, an amazing New England-based rug company that makes all of their rugs in Massachusetts, to help with an event honoring interior designer Amanda Nisbet. The beautiful event was held at The Taj, an historic hotel on Newbury Street in Boston.
Here is Amanda at their factory.
Here is a custom tufted rug being made.
