What a New York City studio shoot looks like.

Most of my work on photo shoots happens in people’s homes and rarely on set. A few months ago, however, I had the opportunity to work with photographer Michael Partenio on a studio shoot at Jack Studios in New York for an ad campaign for Claritin. Studio work was so much fun! First of all, it’s a gorgeous space with views of the Empire State Building and the Hudson River. A great stereo system, friendly staff, and multiple star sightings made if all the more exciting (Wycleff Jean was being shot for a magazine next door and Martha Stewart was just down the hall!). Here’s a behind the scenes look!

  1. Behind the scenes are always so fascinating to me. That space looks like a photographer’s dream studio. Your documentary type shots already tell a story, one to me that seems far more interesting and exciting.

    • Thanks so much! I just visited your site and love it. Thanks so much for commenting!

  2. Looks like such a fun day! I remember styling a shot for a Thanksgiving ad … did you know that dish soap sprayed on a fresh turkey makes it brown up perfectly (and it looks fully cooked after about 20 minutes in the oven?) It didn’t make for a very appetizing lunch, however! Miss those days ; )
